The Duties of a Dean in Diocese

Summary/Abstract: Straipsnyje atskleidžiamos dekano pareigos vyskupijoje. Jas apibrėžia dalinė teisė (vietos ordinaro nurodymai, Vyskupų konferencijos nutarimai) ir bendroji, kanonų teisė. Dekanas yra svarbus tarpininkas tarp vietos ordinaro, dekanato kunigų ir tikinčiųjų. Kilus problemoms dekanas geriausiai gali patarti, kaip vykdyti Vyskupų konferencijos nutarimus. The article discusses the duties of a Dean, which arise from the partial law, i.e. instructions from local Ordinary, decisions of the Conference of Bishops, and the common, cannon law. A diligent Dean implements an intermediate, indispensable role among the local Ordinary, the priests of the deanery and the faithful. When the problems arise, he may recommend the best how to implement the regulations of the Conference of Bishops.
