LATE ANTIQUE CHRISTIAN MONUMENTS FROM THE RAZGRAD REGION IV – VI CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: About 40 settlements and fortresses from the Roman era are located on the territory of the Razgrad region. Archaeological surveys were carried out in the town of “Sboryano¬vo” near the town of Isperih and the town of “Hisarlaka” near the town of Razgrad. Traces of Christian monuments were found only from the late antique Abritus fortress to the town of Razgrad: foundations of Christian temples, a tomb and architectural elements of their decoration.
