ОБІЗНАНІСТЬ У ПРАВІ ЄВРОПЕЙСЬКОГО СОЮЗУ ЯК ПАРАМЕТР ПРАВОВОГО МЕНТАЛІТЕТУ УКРАЇНСЬКОГО СТУДЕНТСТВА
AWARENESS OF THE LAW OF THE EUROPEAN UNION AS A PARAMETER OF THE LEGAL MENTALITY OF UKRAINIAN STUDENTS

Summary/Abstract: One of the aspects of the development of the legal mentality among students of the national higher school has been violated. Due to the fact of Ukraine gaining the status of a candidate member of the European Union, the aspect related to the awareness of the students of higher education in the legal issues of the European Union becomes especially acute. This determined the goal of our scientific exploration. As a result of the analytical work, an increased interest of students in acquiring a European-type legal culture was found against the background of awareness of the importance of increasing the signs of Ukraine’s acquisition of the basic characteristics of the rule of law, and due to the realities of the state of war in the country, also actualization of their need for full-fledged ideas about the priority of humanitarian law. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, the content of the concept of «legal mentality of modern students» has been clarified, the construct of «political and legal values» has been characterized, scientific ideas about the uniqueness of the political and legal mentality of Ukrainian society have been detailed. It has been proven that the European vector of the legal mentality of Ukrainian student youth is reflected in the legal framework of the educational sphere and the practice of those institutions of higher education, where the legal mentality of students is developed in the system. Self-reflection of the experience that has developed at the Izmail State University of Humanities in the indicated plane, on the one hand, is the importance of creating a unified cultural and legal space in higher education, and, on the other hand, simulates the selfeducational activity of students as a basis for acquiring European values and norms civilized countries. The constructiveness of student volunteering, the practice of organized activity in the institution of higher education of the legal clinic, the introduction of interactive forms of teaching the normative course were stated «human rights and civil society», and the introduction of an extensive network of disciplines of free choice, which have a purely socio-legal orientation, have been established. Prospects for improving the practice formed at Izmail State University of Humanities are seen in the development of a system aimed at achieving full awareness of students in the law of the European Union.
