Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the consideration of the concept of aggression, the specific features of the phenomenon at the border of different sciences and the features of aggressive behavior in sports are analyzed. An attempt was made to analyze the causes of aggressive behavior in sports from the point of view of its biological nature and to reveal the mechanisms of control and correction of aggressiveness. It was determined that permissible aggression within the framework of the existing rules is a necessary condition for a certain advantage and can improve the effectiveness of game actions, taking into account sports, as first of all ‒ a competition, the goal of which is to achieve the highest result thanks to the special psychological interaction of the participants of sports activities. It is outlined that uncontrolled emotional interaction can have negative consequences both on the health of athletes, participants of the competition, and on the results of competitive activities. The negative and positive features of sport as a social phenomenon and the reasons for their formation are determined. Sport is not just physical exercises and competitions, it is a pedagogical process that forms not only physical, but also spiritual qualities of a person. Since sport is one of the most effective means of education, development and training of a person, the need to introduce and use new means, methods of teaching and training in the educational process to study and apply modern approaches to the training of specialists - trainers is substantiated. The phenomenon of aggression is analyzed as a biological phenomenon that has deep roots in evolution and certain causes of origin. It is noted that the manifestation of sports aggression can act as a protective mechanism when defending one’s territory or one’s ball. The biological nature of aggressiveness in sports has been defined as the generation of stress associated with the emergence and development of motor activity and the action of various hormones, such as testosterone, cortisol and adrenaline. The necessity of training specialistscoaches according to a mandatory cycle of medical and biological disciplines, which lay the foundations for understanding the processes of stress and aggression, mastering methods and techniques of stress management and relaxation, which will allow timely avoidance of manifestations of aggression during sports communication, is substantiated.
