COMMUNICATION AS A FACTOR IN HARMONIZING COUPLE RELATIONSHIPS

Summary/Abstract: This study analyzed the role of communication in harmonizing couple relationships. The research revealed that effective communication plays a vital role in both aspects. It promotes emotional connection, dispute resolution, emotional support, and facilitates the achievement of common goals and decision-making. Open and honest communication between partners develops a stronger bond and understanding, creating a safe space for vulnerability and intimacy. Couples can improve their bond and experience greater marital satisfaction through active listening, polite expression of needs, and constructive problem-solving. When communication is effective, marital closeness increases. Communication allows couples to express their emotions, desires, and hopes. As a result, their intimacy will most likely grow as they get to know each other better. Therefore, effective communication between partners is essential. Trust is a key aspect of marital harmony and integrity and is necessary for a successful marriage. These study findings would contribute to a better understanding of the role of communication in marital intimacy and trust among married adults. This study found that interpersonal communication skills are necessary for partners to form a strong bond in a relationship. It emphasizes the importance of interpersonal communication skills for a harmonious marital relationship.
