Summary/Abstract: The study examines the intricate mechanisms of student adaptation to the university environment, analyzing the correlation between academic integration success and various internal and external factors, including life values, health status, and a healthy lifestyle. Adaptation is defined as a dynamic and multidimensional process, essential not only for academic success but also for the long-term psychological health of future professionals. The results indicate a low level of adaptation, both to the learning process and to the study group, especially among first- and second-year students. A major discrepancy was identified between physical health (at an optimal level) and mental health (at a medium/low threshold), with vitality and emotional functioning being the most affected dimensions. Correlational and regression analysis showed that adaptation is significantly predicted by locus of control (the belief that life can be controlled) and overall health.
