Summary/Abstract: The study sequence analyzes the relationship between self-control and stress resilience in chronically ill patients. The empirical study on the influence of self-regulation development on the stress resistance of chronically ill patients used a battery of psychological instruments to determine the level of stress resistance. The application of correlation analysis indicated a statistically significant correlation between personality stress resistance and the scales: General level of self regulation, Perseverance, Self-control, and Flexibility. The assessment of the level of resistance to stress revealed that the majority of chronically ill patients in the sample exhibit a medium level. This suggests that, in general, the stress associated with their illness does not significantly affect their well-being, and they are able to manage moderate tension. However, when faced with greater challenges, their stress resistance tends to decrease, which could negatively influence their activity. The obtained data indicate a high level of self-regulation, perseverance, and self-control in chronically ill patients. This suggests that, in stressful situations, they are able to reduce their internal tension, adequately assess the context, and plan their actions effectively. The results regarding self-regulation style indicate a predominance of the medium level for the 'evaluation of results' and 'independence' scales. This suggests that chronically ill patients have relatively stable opinions and beliefs, respect norms and rules of conduct, know their strengths and weaknesses, and are aware of their desires and objectives. They also tend to anticipate various possible scenarios, analyze them, and develop optimal plans for achieving their goals.
