Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the poetic work of Daniela Kapraľová, which we interpret from the perspective of environmental criticism. In the first part of the article we present the ideas of environmental literary criticism (ecocriticism) and its main representatives, together with an overview of the perception of nature in human society over several historical periods. In the second part of the article we are interpretating the collection of poetry by Daniela Kapraľová named Srna v neraji, in which we notice the depiction of nature, the rhetoric and language used in the poetry and the relationship between the lyrical subject and nature.
