Summary/Abstract: In our text, we deal with the possibilities of Rusyn literature in Slovakia after 1989. The first authors in this period who wrote in the Rusyn language were writers such as Mária Maľ covská, Štefan Suchý and Mikuláš Kseňák. More than thirty years have passed since the beginning of the given literary period, nowadays we can enjoy the literary work of the older generation, but also of younger and emerging authors. It is customary to evaluate the existing literature, i.e. what was written and published, on the other hand, based on examples from the literary work of authors such as Daniela Kapraľ ová, Vladislav Sivý or Ľudmila Šandalová, in this text we would like to point out potential possibilities or white, unexplored places on the map of Rusyn literature in Slovakia in the future.
