Short Description
Studium Carpatho-Ruthenorum is a specialized periodical that brings together selected contributions originating from the international academic program of the same name. It reflects the dynamic environment of the Studium Carpatho-Ruthenorum International Summer School for Rusyn Language and Culture, organized by the University of Prešov. This university is the only institution in Slovakia offering accredited bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Rusyn language and literature through its Institute of Rusyn Language and Culture. The summer school, now in its thirteenth year, responds to growing interest in Rusyn Studies from participants both at home and abroad. Its primary aim is to support the development of communicative skills in the Rusyn literary language while enriching knowledge of Carpatho-Rusyn history, culture, and ethnography. The specialized periodical is published yearly and provides a platform for research inspired by these academic exchanges, promoting the study of Carpatho-Rusyn topics within a broader scholarly community.
