Summary/Abstract: This article addresses the growing concern of opioid overdoses, particularly those involving fentanyl. While the situation in Europe is less severe than in the US, it is taken seriously. The article stresses the importance of public awareness of opioid risks and training for first responders. It provides a guide to recognizing opioid intoxication symptoms and administering appropriate first aid, including the use of naloxone, and pre-hospital emergency care using the ABCDE algorithm. Iconography is included to support the practical guidance.
