Summary/Abstract: The making of the Vocabulary of the Montenegrin Folk and Literary Language is the first major lexicographic project undertook in Montenegro. The Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, as the bearer of the project, gradually joined this complex work and realized it in phases. After a brief presentation of the phases of the development of the Montenegrin vocabulary, the paper discusses some of the procedures in the processing of the guidelines when numerous professional lexicographic issues were to be solved. This paper presents several questions that we believe we have solved them systematically and consistently, which is a great success considering that there are no solutions for lexicography in the region that have a longer and more fruitful experience as well as the institutions that only deal with this problem. First of all, the paper discusses the solutions of the treatment of homonyms, the composites formed by the prefixoid compounds, the recording of descending accents out of the first sylable.
