The article attempts to analyse the phenomenon of helplessness. The analysis is philosophical. Helplessness appears as the inability to take action, as a paralysis of the very essence of a person. In the case when it affects one of the sides, it seems to be particularly painful. Here, the one who should naturally demonstrate help and support is acutely absent, insensitive to the fate of another. Helplessness here reaches its peak and becomes the ultimate argument for leaving. This article is not a justification of the negative phenomenon of a family breakdown. It is rather an attempt to look from another angle at this painful event, it stems from a desire to understand the secrets of human existence, which is not always able to face difficulties.

KLauzula rozwodowa a "większa sprawiedliwość" według ewangelisty Mateusza (5, 31-32; 19, 3-9)

The submitted case study indicates further arguments for Matthew's authorship of the divorce clause which is found in Jesus' logia about marriage (5, 31-31; 19, 3-9). It refers to combined marriages in which one of the parties professed Judaism but became a follower of Jesus. Such relationships were deemed null and void by the Judaism party, who demanded a divorce from the Judeo-Christian party on the grounds that faith in Jesus was regarded by the former as something abhorent, i.e. adultery and a betrayal of the only God Yahweh. Matthew places this problem in the centre of evangelic appeal to serve major justice in terms of salvation through His son - Jesus the Messiah.

Psychologiczne skutki rozwodu rodzicó dla ich dzieci

Psychological results of divorces appearing among divorced spouses, their children and even among adult children of divorced parents show what ommitting God's Law and the social norm of indissolubility of marriage lead to. The negative effects of divorce are manifestet in children in poor self-esteem, withdrawal or emotional overreaction to various life situations and problems with establishing relationships with others. The results of family dissolution are lingering and farreaching and cause never-ending suffering and spread from generation to generation. The result are not harmless to the establishment of future family ties and prove severely damaging to himself/herself, their spouse, children and society.

Alnglosasi na tropie Symfoniusza. Przyczynek do twórczości Biskupa Adhelma (ok. 639-709)

This article presents a closer profile of Adhelm (639-709), who was a representative of the Anglo-Saxon monastic Christian culture and contributed to polarizing the classic enigma - Symphonius - with a slightly different, "fresh" character. He popularized the enigma in the British Isles and eventually formed a new genre - the old English Riddle. Adhelm consciously took the riddle pattern of Symphosius and harmoniously combined folk and sacred elements. The Bishop of Sherborne - Adhelm (639-709) is called "the oldest classicists of England" and the first English man-of-letters as well. His enigma speaks with the voices of Isidore of Seville, Virgil and Ovid and references to the Bible accompanying fragments inspired by Aeneid and Metamorphoses. The generality and timelessness of Adhelm relies on his characteristic, original and unique humanistic treatment of culture.

The firts part of article focuses on the issue of sacramentality and indissolubility of Christian mariage as taught and practised in Abglicn an Roman Catholic traditionas. Beeing a commentary to par. 59-77 of ARCIC II's "Life in Christ: Morals, Communion and the Church" (1994) it is preceded by remarks on the Anglican-Roma Catholic theological dialogue as well as on secularizing trends in Anglicanism. The other part of the article is a Polish translation of the relevant fragment of "Life in Christ".

The article presents the genesis (1917) and difficult fates of Congregation of Benedictine Nuns Missionaries and their charges with changing political totalitarian systems. During the World War II Hitler's and the Soviet aggression on Wołyń Province brought enormous material loses, deprived the nuns of having a roof over their heads, withdrew the possibility of fulfilling statutory tasks, but there was still hope which the nuns made use of. German defeat did not mean triumph of victory in Poland, after the war the Soviet Union started strengthening people's authority in Poland. It began the struggle with Church by employing as secret workers to cooperate with people belonging to Church and Polish nation. It continued until 1989. After each disaster the Congregation had the strength of spitit and revived again.

Rozwód w Ameryce. Rozważania na temat ""National Marriage Project"

The article is divided into two major parts. The first part examines the cultural and legal factors which have lead to and which sustain the current regime of "no fault divorce" which now exists in all American states and has largely been in place for thirty-some years. The second part introduces the work of the National Marriage Project to Polish readers. The National Marriage Project is a research program at the University of Virginia which produces an annual report on trends in American marriage practice, the data interpreted from a perspective that, in large part, is compatible with a Catholic world view. In the end the author suggests that the National Marriage Project's research model deserves imitation in Europe, and can contribute valuable data to Catholic pastoral care of marriage.

Psychologiczne czynniki wspierające małżeństwo

The article shows that the factors preventing the breakdown of marriage are a mature personality, the ability to communicate and solve conflicts, religiosity, self-development and the family background. The first element is a mature personality: emotional stability, responsibility, mature motivation and correct hierarchy of values. Proper communication allows the spouses to share their experiences, know each other better, build an atmosphere of openess and security. Religiosity allows one to create a dialogue with God and another person, as well as a non egocentric attitude, which places God at the centre of life. The readiness for self-development does not allow spouses to hide behind their immature mechanism of defense against weaknesses and mistakes. The final factor is the family background, which is a natural space for the proper shaping of all previous elements.

Ratzinger o współczesnej kulturze, prawdzie i sumieniu.

"The Gospel to a certain extent presupposes culture; it never replaces it, but it does leave its mark on it" (Joseph Ratzinger). This thesis is explored by examining the role of culture in theological reflection in general as well as influence of the Gospel on culture (the valuea, institutions and, above all, language of society). The encounter between culture and the truth of the Gospel is possible because of the role conscience plays in knowing the truth and so transcending the limits of culture. Conscience, like all things human, does not operate in a vacuum, but within the matrix of a person's particular culture that is always ambigous. All cultures are need of evangelization, but the evangelization of contemporary Western culture is made more diffcult by the fact that it itself is a by-product of Christianity. The culture is characterized by the phenomenon of modernity, the genealogy of which needs to be understood before any fruitful encounter can take place.

Trwałość i nierozerwalność małżeństwa w opinii wybranych grup katechizowanej młodzieży

Despite the presence of catechesis at school, there is a visible impairment of the influence of the Catholic Church in Poland in shaping the view of young people on the unity, durability, fertility and indissolubility of marriage. In view of it, an examination of opinions of catechised youth who take part in religiion lessons at school is justified. Empirical research carried out in 2011 in secondary schools in Olsztyn and Wodzisław Śląski served the purpose.Similarities and diferences were observable between the youth from Olsztyn and Wodzisław Śląski, especially in the case of declarations concerning the approval of the church's teaching about the indissolubility of marriage and the role of religion lessons in understanding the truth about the indissolubility of marriage. On the basis of it, pastoral and catechetical conclusions were introduced.

Moralne aspekty duszpasterstwa osób w separacji i po rozwodzie

The aim of this article is to juxtapose the pastoral care of the divorced who have entered into new relationships and the pastoral care of the divorced or separated who have not remarried. To achieve this aim, it was necessary to make a moral evaluation of both divorce and separation. The juxtaposition of the two areas of pastoral ministry shows more clearly some of the challenges and inspires priests to develop a more sensitive morality. It must be remembered however that the pastoral care of the divorced-remarried must never compromise fidelity to the marital vows shared by separated people or the divorced who live a single life.

Trwałość i nierozerwalność małżeństwa w ujęciu prawa polskiego i kanonicznego

Concern about marriage and family shown by the state and the Church is expressed mainly in the development of appropriate legislation to guarantee the permanence of marriage and the right of the family. However. not all marriages enjoy stability and durability. Especially recently, in our civilisation and culture, one can observe more and more split marriages. This article presents the similarities and differences in regulations concerning the separation of spouses in the Polish law and Canon law. The analysis of separation, the declaration of nullity of canonical marriage, of the non-existence and nullity of civil marriages, civil divorce, the dissolution of an impeded canonical marriage and due to the "privilege of faith", leads to the conclusion, that the gratest systemic protection of the permanence and indissolubility of marriage, apart from separation, which serves the same supreme purpose in both codes of law, is provided by the Canon law.

The article examines issues related to the sustainability of the political process. Specific features of its implementation are highlighted in connection with power-exercising, decision-making and behaviour of the governors. In particular, an unusual characteristics of power is made, in connection with its determinants. Furthermore, issues associated with political power and the connections and dependencies in policy-making are analyzed. Issues of control and self-control over political power are discussed and the role of the crowd as a corrective or source of management policy is considered. The specifics of political decisions and the options of manifestation during the implementation of the political process are considered. Political behaviour is presented as a function of political power and political decisions. Emphasis is placed on the forms and motives for manifestation of various types of political behaviour.

Ефекти на промените в данъчно-трансферната система върху разпределението на доходите на домакинствата в България: симулационен анализ чрез модела EUROMOD за периода 2011-2015 г.

The paper presents some empirical results about the assessment of the effects from tax-transfer policies on incomes of Bulgarian households for the period 2011-2015 obtained by EUROMOD – the tax-transfer simulation model of the EU – utilizing data from EU SILC survey. The simulation analysis was performed by tracking the changes in household income distribution for any year from the period where the policy parameters from the base year (2011) were replaced by those enacted for each year, holding the population structure and gross household market incomes fixed at the base year. The results show that the changes in the policies brought in income increments mainly for the households in the lowest income groups. Poverty rate decreases by 1.3-2.9 percentage points (depending on several levels experimented for the poverty threshold). Nevertheless, the poverty level in Bulgaria is among the highest in EU and special measures should be launched in order to enhance the living standard of Bulgarian households.

The article focuses on the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the four bases, which are applicable in the practice of the different countries – a cash base of accountancy, a modified cash base, accrual base and accountancy on the grounds of the modified accrual base. The normative regulation of the different accounting bases in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is presented. The standpoint is highlighted that the accountancy on a modified base has advantages in view of the specificities of the public sector in comparison with the accountancy on the base of the full application of the accrual accounting concept. In the context of the present audit of the Cash Basis IPSAS, the point of view is expressed, that it has to regulate the specific requirements regarding the application of the modified base of accounting.
