Author(s): Snezhana Velikova,Ivan Kapralov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2016

This article attempts to comment the fragmentation аnd disintegration potential of media institutions. Furthermore, it suggests that media cannot generate polarization at present, but the crisis in the journalistic profession could create opportunities to fuel separation in society in the long run. The editorial policy of media organizations is entirely dependent upon their business interests; this in turn lead to purposeful and permanent disregard of the basic functions that society has invested into professionals - the socializing, economic, cognitive; negligence to job standards which inevitably creates conditions for separation in society, and for intensifying the centrifugal forces available in society during the postmodern era.

Author(s): Miroslava Tsvetkova / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2016

Languages create the world in which people live. The word is a basic functional unit of language. The focus of this paper is on the point of intersection of units, which belong to different linguistic levels. Like every meaningful unit, the word can be treated in terms of form and content. Its has both lexical and grammatical meaning. The unity of these two components forms the overall lexico-grammatical content of the word as its semantic characteristic. Word meanings are not fixed for all time in any one language. Semantic changes take place all along, and at any moment the semantic area covered by a word is indeterminately bordered and differs from context to context. Реториката и езиците на литературното образование

Реториката и езиците на литературното образование

Author(s): Evelina Nikolova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2014

A starting point of this discussion is the death of the rhetoric proclaimed by philosophy. Since it seems to be the death of the republican art of eloquence itself, which is that grid through which the ideas of Subject, Language and Power escape through, and which forms, according to Roland Bart “a unified network, an artifact, which will allow us to see rheto¬ric as a skillfully assembled machine, a scheme of operations, “a programme“ producing discourse”. Confirming the power of the probable but convincing argument is also the literary educational discourse, produced by the complicity of rhetoric and literary history: logorrhea, where everybody speaks but literature is silent.
