Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the conceptual field knowledge in English Language regarding its philosophical and linguistic essence in comparison. Such elements of the field as opinion, belief and knowledge are considered to reveal the place of the notion and its understanding in English speaking world view. The study has shown the conceptual field knowledge reflects all the ways and layers of cognition: from sensual perception to systematized abstract knowledge, from individual to common.
