Author(s): Galina Ivanova,Milena Velikova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 5s/2024

The continuous advance of technologies and their implementation across all stages of education leads to the development and creation of a variety of digital resources that can be a useful part of contemporary education aiming to develop the digital competencies of the students – future pedagogues. As part of the lectures and workshops on “Kindergarden music theory and methodology”, “Musical education in preschool” and “Musical diagnostics in preschool and primary school grades” students (prospective teachers) who were enrolled in education program of University of Ruse were introduced to a variety of digital resources aiding their practical training. During this time, the students acquired additional knowledge on how to apply them in their future teaching practice. The current study shows a poll of students’ opinion on the usefulness of the test “Profile of Music Perception Skills”, the model “Geneva musical emotional scale”, interactive study materials on “General music training”, video lessons on “Musical theory and methodology” and interactive slide on other sources used in their education. A dedicated questionnaire has been used for data collection of this study.

Author(s): Tsvetelina Harakchiyska,Tsvetomir Vassilev / Language(s): English Issue: 5s/2024

The potential for using artificial intelligence (AI) systems in education (including foreign language teaching and learning) poses new demands on 21st century pre-service teachers who need to be prepared to integrate it successfully in their classrooms. The current paper, therefore, aimed to examine the attitude and readiness of 52 Bulgarian pre-service foreign language teachers on using AI in English language instruction. Based on the data obtained, it was established that the pre-service teachers demonstrated a general positive disposition towards using AI tools in their foreign language lessons and declared their readiness to implement AI technologies in the foreign language classroom but lacked the skills and competencies needed to do so. The results also showed that teacher training institutions and policy makers on national level have to define the AI knowledge, competencies and skills of prospective teachers so that they could actively engage with AI ethically and meaningfully in their profession.

Development and Integration of Audio and Visual Micro-Resources in the Learning Process through the Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems

Author(s): Petya Stefanova,Elitsa IBRYAMOVA,Angel Smrikarov,Galina Ivanova / Language(s): English Issue: 5s/2024

The paper examines the possibilities of developing and applying additional educational resources through artificial intelligence systems. Microlearning is an effective teaching method in modern education that features concise audio and visual learning resources suitable for students from the digital generation. The research focuses on integrating educational resources into the traditional learning process, which activates the learning process through innovative methods and attractively presented information. A two-directional approach is applied that enables working through the creation of resources by the teacher on the one hand, and on the other hand, the learners themselves generate such resources. At the same time, QR codes are used to introduce learning and game elements to the primary macro resources. The aim is to determine the impact of the integrated approach on learners' engagement, their acquisition of the learning material, and overall learning outcomes.

MIGRACIJE NA ISTOČNOJ OBALI JADRANA U FUNCIJI INTERKULTURNOG DIJALOGA - STUDIJA SLUČAJA CRNOGORSKE ZAJEDNICE U PEROJU

Author(s): Dragan Bogojevic,Adnan Prekic / Language(s): Montenegrine Issue: 2/2024

The article highlights key elements of intercultural dialogue on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The subject of the research is the aspects of establishing intercultural relations between the immigrant Montenegrin national community in Peroj and the local population. With the consent of the Venetian Republic, they settled in the then-abandoned place in 1657, which had been devastated by a plague epidemic. In addition to the historical context of the migration of this community, the research will particularly focus on brief accounts of Montenegrins in Peroj found in two works by the French travel writer Charles Yriarte. The reference is to the book Bosnie et Herzégovine – souvenirs de voyage pendant l’insurrection 1875-1876, from 1876, and the luxurious work Les Bords de l’Adriatique et le Monténégro from 1878, which will be used to analyze the position of the Montenegrin immigrant community in Istria. The article also aims to highlight the positive symbolic importance of fostering intercultural dialogue in our contemporary Adriatic environment, particularly in relation to the oldest Montenegrin diaspora in Peroj, through the cultivation of awareness of origin and the preservation of religious, cultural, and linguistic identity.

Author(s): Jelisaveta Blagojević Miljanić,Radenko Šćekić / Language(s): Montenegrine Issue: 2/2024

The principal objective of this paper is to conduct a critical analysis of the complexities inherent in media coverage of the security aspects of migration. In other words the study seeks to address the following research question: How have Montenegrin media reported on the migration wave from the Middle East and North Africa, beginning in 2011, as well as the significant influx of Ukrainian refugees from 2022 to the present? The findings suggest that media narratives in Montenegro are shaped by the country’s broader foreign policy objectives, particularly those concerning Montenegro’s accession to the European Union.

MIGRACIJE U KNJIZEVNOSTI I UMJETNOSTI

Author(s): Jasmina Nikčević / Language(s): Montenegrine Issue: 2/2024

There are currently more than 60 million refugees in the world. More than 60 million people are fleeing war, violence and oppression. Over 60 million stories. With these words, the collective Power of Art House (Amsterdam) describes the migration crisis we are currently experiencing. Starting from the fact that literature, painting, cinematography, photography, music, art and culture as a whole gather and unite people and their stories, we would like to see the complexity of the phenomenon of art and creativity. We will present some works of great European authors, created in different historical periods and circumstances, which emphasize the importance of the experience of exile and migration in the aesthetics of French art. Since art has always been a strong voice of condemnation of persecution, injustice and crime, through significant examples of contemporary creativity inspired by the theme of migrants in the European framework, we will try to answer the question of whether and to what extent art affects a change in thinking and attitudes, i.e.why is it in the current moment, the attitude towards migrants is often negative, while the experiences of the past, collective memory and art deny us.

This study examines the relationship between trust in colleagues, supervisors, and management, and the dimensions of organizational silence, such as defensive and deafening silence, across different sectors and regions. By analyzing data from previous studies in education, industry, and services in countries like Indonesia, South Korea, Turkey, and Afghanistan, the study provides insights into how trust affects organizational silence. Using secondary data analysis, statistical methods were employed to explore these relationships. The findings show significant disparities based on sector and geographic location. For example, a strong inverse relationship was found between trust in colleagues and defensive silence in Indonesia's education sector, while no significant impact was observed in South Korea's service sector. Trust in supervisors also had a notable effect on organizational silence, with variations depending on the sector. It then explains the dietary transition that has occurred globally and in Bulgaria with increased intake of animal-based foods, such as meat and dairy, emphasising the links with obesity and non-communicable diseases. Better dietary choices based on plant-based sources can help alleviate the pressures on the natural environment, improve human health and contribute towards finding solutions for the polycrisis. People in wealthier countries need to be able to make decisions conscientiously to reduce the presence of animal-sourced foods in their diets. Tourism experiences in the new category of wellness tourism can expose people to attractive plant-based dishes and act as an intervention and nudging tool for encouraging a sustainability transition in food.
