This paper deals with the state of language rights in Luxembourg in the light of immigration and the multilingualism associated with it. Although Luxembourg might appear to be an ideal case of multilingualism with three official languages (Luxembourgish, French, and German), the reality is very different because its language policies are marked by a hierarchy: while Luxembourgish has the symbolic dominance as the ‘national language’, French is the preferred language in the workplace and administration. The situation has become complex due to the steady influx of immigrants since the 1970s. Currently, more than 40 per cent of Luxembourg’s population consists of foreigners, and this has changed the linguistic situation in the sense that Portuguese has become one of the most widely spoken languages in Luxembourg, although it does not enjoy any legal safeguards. Taking account of this multilingual scenario, this paper examines the rights of different linguistic communities in Luxembourg. On the one hand, there is the need to protect Luxembourgish, which is the majority language in Luxembourg but a minority language when compared to other national languages of Europe, while, on the other hand, the needs of its Portuguese-speaking community also have to be taken into account since the use of German as the medium of instruction at primary level disadvantages them. Finally, the paper will also consider the role and the future of the other two main languages (French and German).

The present study aims to study how the evaluations of the user interface of the Moodle platform evolve over time among its users at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. For this purpose, the respondents are divided according to two criteria – students and teachers, on the one hand, and users with more than 1 year of experience or those with 0 to 1 year of experience, on the other. The survey was completed by a total of 123 respondents. The results reveal a seemingly paradoxical trend of increasing criticism of the platform as the duration of user experience increases. A possible explanation for this phenomenon is that experienced users tend to customize their platform, which leads them to encounter more difficulties. The present study aims to study how the evaluations of the user interface of the Moodle platform evolve over time among its users at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Media literacy is one of the key competencies and skills for living and working in the 21st century. Media literacy training is a life-long process, but it is of particular importance that it starts from early childhood, is continued and built on in secondary and higher education with the efforts of all formal and informal institutions and organizations. The research team from the Department of “Media and Public Communications” at the University of National and World Economy has been working on the project dedicated to media literacy training practices in secondary and higher schools in Bulgaria for three years. An important part of the research was the analysis of the results of the survey among teachers, conducted in the period 07.01.2022 – 23.02.2022 via the Microsoft Forms platform, in which 534 respondents participated. The report draws the attention at the value and importance of effective communication in the learning process. Practice shows that when pursuing learning and educational goals, pedagogues do not sufficiently take into account the emotional and behavioral components of the process – the age characteristics, the different learning styles, the need for a positive attitude, etc. Strategies for achieving an affective learning environment that supports cognitive processes and meaningful classroom communication are explored. The material aims to present general pedagogical reflections on the inappropriate behavior of teachers and inadequate communication with students; feedback, grading the difficulty of the studied material, etc., whose recognition would lead to a decrease in anxiety in the classroom, an increase in motivation, the success and ability for self-expression of the learners.

The Faculty of Pedagogy at Trakia University prepares students from different ethnic groups and students who are a part of the Erasmus+ exchange program. This intercultural environment reveals the opportunities for establishing common values in an intercultural learning environment through a broad intercommunication symbiosis. In an intercultural pedagogical interaction, students are given the opportunity to express their identity through the visualization of ideas, attitudes and thoughts. Art texts are used to introduce students to the traditional values of the unknown ethnicity and nationality as well as solving moral dilemmas, breaking stereotypes about behavior and overcoming prejudices. By using a five-module multimedia construct, the pedagogical environment allows students, in addition to personally reflecting on a particular problem, to develop pedagogical skills to guide the process.
