Глацијална језера Буни и Језерце – Албанија

Author(s): Milovan Milivojević,Jelena Kovačević-Majkić / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/2005

The paper presents glacial lakes and glacial relief forms at the foothill of the peak Maja Јezerces in Mt. Prokletije in Albania, near the border with Montenegro. The group of lakes Buni and Jezerce, which consists of six lakes and which genetically belongs to glacial-erosional lakes, is analyzed. Lakes are situated at the cirque bottom, between the moraines and limestone ridges. Except presented morphometric characteristics of lake basins, data about cirque are given, as well as the reconstruction of the glacier which was formed here. Recent erosion processes are intensive in this area and have considerably changed post-Pleistocene morphology of the lake, as well as the cirque bottom.

Термички режим Неготинске Крајине

Author(s): Ljiljana Živković,Nenad Živković,Marina Janić-Siridžanski / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/2005

Negotin Krajina geographically belongs to Mezian tablet that means it is widely open to the influences from the East but main air influences come from the West and North-West causes specific thermal characteristics. Meteorological station “Negotin” is the only one respectable station in the Krajina then we analyze results from various periods since 1901. It is important to emphasize that station “Negotin” doesn’t have work continuity since the beginning of the century, thus for analyzing certain climate elements we have had to use method of analogy with station “Zajecar”. A part of that, observations were not done by the same methodology so there is lack of some important indicators for this first period. To determine air thermo-regime of Negotin Krajina during 20 century, standard periods (1901-1930., 1931-1960. and 1961-1990.) for analyzing climate elements, suggested by WMO, were compared. Also, periods from 1925. to 1940. and from 1990. to 2000. were added to this analysis (according to data we had).

Прилог теоријско методолошким концепцијама климатске регионализације

Author(s): Vladan Ducić,Milan Radovanović,Željko Bjeljac / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 2/2004

According to the recommendation of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), examination of the climatic characteristics of any given area should cover a 30-year period (for instance, the years 1931 to 1960, or, 1961 to 1990, etc.). In time, changes and oscillations happen in climate, so that the climatic regions will also change, in time and in space. Such alterations are a frequent subject of scientific studies, concerned with cyclical nature and fluctuations of climate. Research of meteorological and climatic elements is, in fact, the precondition of knowing what the climate is, and without this knowledge it would be pointless to discuss any kind of concrete climatic regionalization. Depending on aims that we wish to accomplish, there is practically a limitless possibility of studying regions in one way or another. Essentially, though, the main starting assumption is that it would be desirable to perform a general climatic regionalization of the world, or of any territorial unit, and, starting from that, to proceed with subdivision into smaller climatic zones. A quite opposite approach, perhaps more appropriate in certain cases, would be to start research from the other end, by examining each station in detail, so that maximum-quality data could then serve to give us an idea about the spatial presence of various indicators.

Висински градијенти падавина у Србији

Author(s): Nenad Živković,Goran Anđelković / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 2/2004

Using average annual precipitations data for period 1961-90. from all rain gauges in Serbia, southern of Sava and Danube rivers, the map of altitude precipitations gradient is constructed. 59 regions homogenious for relation X = f (H) are obtained by regression analysis method (two-dimensional type, X – precipitation height and H – altitude). Some new method are applied, some limitations are shown, some regularities are found in disposition of precipitation growth and it is indicated on practical application of this method in physico-geographical research.

Колебање температуре ваздуха у Србији у другој половини XX века

Author(s): Milan Radovanović / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/2004

According to data of IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel for Climatic Change), the global surface air temperature increased to 0,6 ± 0,2 °C in the 20th century. Weber G. R., (1995) quotes that there is a trend of cold in the last 60 years in the middle latitudes including Europe, too. Starting from already mentioned perplexities we have tried to perceive the problem of climate variability in Serbia in the second half of the 20th century, when it came to very important increasing of concentration of CO2. With that aim we observed the decade values of average annual temperatures in the network of 20 climatic stations. In the period 1951 - 1990 a decrease of temperature was registered in 13 stations while in other stations an increase was less than 0,1 °C. Explorers from Bulgaria (Аlexandrov V., 2000) and Hungary (Domonkos P., Zoboki J., 2000) came to similar results, too. However, if we take in account the last decade 20th century the number of stations with positive changes is enlarged on 15. Stations that have small changes and those with decrease of temperature were localized in the south and south - eastern part of the country, and they are mainly coincided with before separated climatic regions with maritime pluviometric regime (Radovanovic M., 2001). Using Dzerdzevskis B. L., (1975) division on three main types of circulation in the north hemisphere, we found that the increase of temperatures in the last decade 20th century is above all caused by change of dominant type of circulation from the south meridian to zonal. An analysis of seasonal changes showed that in the last five decades 20th century it came to decrease of winter temperatures in almost half of the stations in contrast with results of paleoclimatics models of posible greenhouse effect.

Ниски полифазни флувијални нивои Црног Тимока у Зајечарском басену

Author(s): Dragan Nešić / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/2004

The problem of origin and extension of the river terrace in Serbian valleys has been dealt with by many explorers. Beside those extensive investigations, this problem has not been explained enough. Therefore, more detailed investigations of river terraces were taken оn a smaller region in the valley of the river Crni Timok in the basin of Zaječar (the Eastern Serbia). A series of low river terraces ( the first terrace of r.h. 3-5 m, the second terrace of r.h. 5-10 m, the third terrace of r.h. 10-16 m and the furth terrace of r.h. 20-30 m) and two special levels (inundation level of r.h. 0-2 m and the level of low shelves of r.h. 2-4 m) were set aside on this tract. This series of low river terraces of the river Crni Timok brought about the idea of the cyclic origin of some terrace series, which is to be tested by future explorations.

Author(s): Stevan M. Stanković / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/2004

Right at the beginning of its work, geomorphology working group of the National council for geoheritage has separated 200 relief objects and suggested them for enrolling into the geo heritage list. It has separated particularly the objects of mundane, European and Balkan significance. Most of them are interesting for tourist visits and are demanding a certain approach to valorization, so that right economical and social objects can be achieved. The objects of geo heritage in Serbia are placed in the primary and complementary tourist values which means they have different attractive zone and provide more kind of tourism. In the process of tourist valorization of the objects of geo heritage, we respect internal factors, external factors and inlay work. Tourist-geographical position and level of attractiveness is of special significance so in dependence of that are local, regional, republic, national and international values being treated, suitable for developing an adequate kind of domestic and foreign tourism.

Резултати спелеолошких и спелеоклиматолошких истраживања великог леденика на Девици, Ртањске и Тупужничке леденице

Author(s): Dragan Nešić / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 2/2002

The Great ice-cellar on Devica and the ice-cellars of Rtanj and Tupižnica are karst pits of the Karpathobalkan mountain system of the Eastern Serbia. These are specific speleological objects with the static ice-cellar characteristics and that implies the permanent retaining of the cold pit air without any circulation and also periodical duration of ice and snow. The climatic features of these pits are conditioned by their morphological characteristics and by the mountain climate. Our speleoclimatic explorations have pointed out to some smaller daily and somewhat bigger annual swayings of pit air temperature. These annual swayings influence the appearance and melting of ice and the absence of the air circulation between the pit and the outside in the warmer part of the year, while during the winter this circulation is present. Morphologically, these ice-cellars belong to the type of common oblique pits, while morphogenetically they are of tectonic-karst base.

Антропогена емисија топлоте у атмосферу Београда

Author(s): Goran Anđelković / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 2/2002

During last few decades the phenomenon of global warming up of the atmosphere is discovered. It is also concluded that the climate in cities changes, the main result of what is the higher air temperature, the heat island within the places with cold weather. This happens also in Belgrade. There are many reasons for this phenomenon, but the anthropogenic production of energy is considered to be one of the main factors for the rise of temperature. The aim of this work is to define anthropogenic sources of heat in Belgrade and to reckon the quantity of heat they emit as additional sources in relation to the sun.
