Pri diskusiách o zahraničnej politike sa Ľudovít Štúr slovenským čitateľom asociuje väčšinou s rozsiahlou prácou Slovanstvo a svet budúcnosti, ktorá predstavuje skôr projekt identity a civilizačnú víziu než návod na praktickú politiku. L'ironie (presque) involontaire des « élites » intellectuelles légionnaires : entre soumission politique totale et mobilisation infinie d’étudiants absentéistes

The subject of irony among legionaries may seem rather decontextualized, as the exclusive political faith, the total commitment, and the murderous consequences of the fascist ideology of the legionaries predispose their intelectuals to serious martial attitudes and rectilinear assertions rather than light approaches and multiple senses supposed by irony. Nevertheless, the situation of fascist intellectuals is ironic in itself, as they have to reconcile rational analyses and partisan obedience, which leads them to sacrifice their critical role and their intellectual superiority in front of mediocre fascist leaders. Fascist intellectuals as Mircea Eliade sometimes try to use ironical detachment in order to obtain some free space for critical mind, with no success; some of them do not try at all, as Emil Cioran, with huge spiritual collapse after the 1945 defeat and enormous success of their omni-ironic Weltanschauung afterwards.

Rachid Mimouni ou l’ironie qui met à nu tout un système politique

Rachid Mimouni, one of Algeria’s most prominent writers during the last decades of the XX thcentury, had a very ironical view of the political system on his country, during the years after the Independence war against France. Like Rachid Boudredra or Nabil Farès, during the same epoch, he criticized the corruption of the ruling class and the rising Islamism. This is why the article attempts to show the ironical side of two of his best-known novels (Le Fleuvedétourné, 1982 and L’Honneur de la tribu, 1989) in which dictatorship is pointed at, both of these writings being parables which mock, in an allegoric way, the political rulers.

The famous writing Communing with himself of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius reveals itself to us today as a work of present interest, not only seen as a philosophical guide for the state rulerʼs life, but also under the feature of a psychological handbook sui generis that regulates the communication between rational beings and their self, and the world, in every historical time. This aspect has been grasped by Gabriel Liiceanu, who writes that Communing with himself is a treatise on techniques of improvement and restraint of oneʼs ego. But the remarkable thing is that the desideratum to acquire and improve the control on the egoʼs adverse phenomena (such as, for instance, carelessness, hatred, envy, the desire for revengeor glory etc.) applies both to sovereigns and their subjects (common people). In our view, the major consequence of this controlʼs success – in exceeding the Stoic presuppositions of Marcus Aurelius – is a better communication with others and with the self, the last one being made better just through the improvements of the first one.

Interpersonal communication is one of the indispensable conditions for the functioning and organization of society, as the individual is a social being and relates to the other insofar as he communicates with it. Gender relations play an important role in interpersonal communication. Gender relations means the sum of conceptions, elaborated socially and culturally, regarding the man/woman difference, the power and inequality that structure the reproduction of these differences in the institutionalized practices of society. The notion of gender varies from a historical point of view and is one of the ways in which states are imagined, constituted and legitimized, because gender instincts can be partially explained in political terms, thus there are male and female cultures, as well as a difficulty of communication between representatives of different cultures.
