ZATVORSKE BIBLIOTEKE U ZATVORSKOM SISTEMU BOSNE I HERCEGOVINE

Author(s): Vildana Pleh,Alma Ljubica Kovačević / Language(s): Bosnian,Croatian,Serbian Issue: 9/2024

The goal of sentencing and execution of a prison sentence is primarily resocialization and reintegration of the perpetrator into society, after its execution. In the prison system and the prison system, various ways of achieving the stated goals are foreseen through programs and treatments that are carried out through activities that prisoners perform in prisons, such as: work, education, adequate use of free time, various special educations, then sports activities, creative workshops, reading books, writing literary works, carrying out a series of therapies within the rehabilitation program that are connected to the above activities, etc. In this direction, the authors of this paper presented the importance of the existence of libraries and the richness of the library fund, as well as the state of prison libraries in the prison system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After a short introduction to the prison system and the prison system in B&H, they paid special attention to therapeutic work and the importance of libraries for rehabilitation, then education, the importance of various special educations, some training in the field of informatics, and reading books in their free time as a form of creative and therapeutic workshops. A very important part of the work is the results of research on the state of libraries in the prison system in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the answer to the hypothesis "Library fund in prisons in Bosnia and Herzegovina does not meet the needs of prisoners". After conducting interviews and analyzing questionnaires conducted in several prisons in B&H, the authors draw conclusions about the number and content of the library fund, concluding whether the current situation meets the needs of prisoners in prisons. In the end, they suggest how to improve the situation in prisons in terms of enriching prison libraries, and therefore enable the implementation of education programs, useful use of free time and, ultimately, ensure better resocialization.

BIBLIOTECA DIGITALĂ A ROMÂNIEI. O PLEDOARIE PENTRU VALORIFICAREA PATRIMONIULUI CULTURAL

Author(s): Ana-Maria Roman-Negoi / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 1 supp./2024

The digitization of cultural heritage in Romania is a subject that arised almost twenty years ago, in the context in which scientific research felt the need to reach more quickly the information specific to each field of activity, together with the desire to preserve for the future the most representative achievements of culture and civilization. Digitisation, digitalisation and digital transformation are currently among the most frequently used terms in many areas of social life: administration, economy, culture, education. This terminology, which has become synonymous with the very progress of civilisation, encompasses bold, long-term objectives for which impressive human and financial resources are being deployed, the Digital Europe programme being perhaps the most powerful example of this . The most consistent project of recent years in Romania in this direction has certainly been the Digital Library of Romania, both in terms of the funding that such an effort involves, but also in terms of the volume and variety of material digitised and made freely available to the public. This paper aims to present the achievements of this project and the prospects it opens up in the field of research and valorisation of the national cultural heritage.

Author(s): Ryszard Zieleń / Language(s): Polish Issue: 7/2023

Eponymous church accounting book from Lutheran parish in Szumiąca near Kamień Pomorski from the years 1730–1792 was discovered in Gdańsk. The annual balance sheet was approved by the parish patrons. Control of parish books was coducted by praepositus of Chapter of Kamień. Research was undertaken with use of actor-network theory (ANT) corelated with timeline. Every person, institution, phenomenon, object or animal can become a network actor and create a network of connections. The book was placed in the church structures of the Kamień Chapter, an accounting system based on a combination of French and German accounting, and in the accounting currency system of that time. The graph presenting the Book as an actor-network shows the connections of accounting accounts with quantitative research, and accounting maxims with qualitative analyses. For a better understanding of the ANT theory adapted to historical research, the publication includes the results of an analysis of the purchasing power of silver contained in a good penny, taking into account inflation against the background of historical events. Accounting sentences describing people, places and events allowed for the analysis of connections with the resources of the State Archives in Szczecin.

Author(s): Andrzej Regliński / Language(s): Polish Issue: 7/2023

After the end of hostilities in 1945, Lębork was incorporated into Poland and became the seat of the district. The most important materials include the files of the then administration, i.e. the Municipal Board and the Municipal National Council, the District Office and the Presidium of the District National Council. In addition, the APG also contains files of political parties: PPR, PPS, PZPR and youth organizations: ZMP, ZMS and ZMW.
