The reasons of this are religious rituals do not change over time; there is not a demand to change the mosque architecture and continuity in structure, perception, aesthetic taste of the community. However, mosque architecture has experienced alterations since the first mosque buildings. Differences arise because of different geographies, climate, cultural structure, local characteristics, traditional materials, and the present building culture. The purpose of the research is to determine prospective music teachers’ academic motivation levels. In the framework of this purpose, an answer has been searched for the question whether there is a significant difference in the prospective teachers’ academic motivation levels depending on their gender and grade variables. In the research, "Academic Motivation Scale", of which Turkish adaptation and validity and reliability studies were conducted by Karaguven (2012), has been used. The scale consists of totally 7 subdimensions as “ Cognition-oriented Internal Motivation, Achievement-oriented Internal Motivation, Stimulation-oriented Internal Motivation, Determined External Motivation, Introjection External Motivation, External Motivation-External Arrangement and A motivation” and 28 factors. The sample group of the research comprises of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade undergraduate students of the Department of Music Education in N.E.U. A.K.E.F. In the research result, it has ensued that prospective music teachers’ “a motivation” level , a sub-dimension of the scale, is dramatically low and their motivation levels in other subdimensions are quite high. The issue of harmony constitutes an important aspect of the courses of the institutions which are involved in the higher music education. The reason for this is that harmony is one of the most important elements of the polyphonic music formation. In this course, the student is expected to comprehend polyphonic music formations both theoretically and aurally. Related with that, the classical harmony courses may be formed into three main topics in accordance with its context. These topics may be systematized as diatonic, chromatic and enharmonic harmony. Each main topic must be approached in the right order and the harmonic context of the musical composition must be stated elaborately. In this study, the subject of enharmonic spelling and enharmonic modulation technique of the 18th and 19th century Western classical music is discussed. As an introductory statement, the basic principles of enharmonic spelling and enharmonic modulation are determined and theoretical examples are indicated. Related with the subject, a selected repertoire from the 18th and 19th centuries is analyzed in detail. In these harmonic analyses, both functional harmony and step degree methods are taken into consideration. In addition to that, the symbols and abbreviations which are used within the methods are also explained. As a result, it is stated that the transference of the issue to the student must be realized according to the principles of functional harmony within the musical context and some suggestions are made in this regard.

In this sense, the subjects and methods of the dissertations, written in the master and doctorate programs of higher education institutes which give art education, aimed at three-dimension perceptions in visual arts course in primary and secondary education were investigated. Another aim of this study is comparing the results obtained from the dissertations with the attainments directed to three dimensional works in the Guidebook of Ministry of Education, Visual Arts lesson. Accordingly, this is a descriptive study utilizing survey research method. The samples of the study are the full-text dissertations on the National Dissertation Center Database created by Higher Education Council (HEC). When the explored dissertations were examined, the results of the study showed that quite similar or close subjects were repeated, the problematic situation was revealed with applications tried and discovered less. In the case of methods, it was found that qualitative research method was widely used. When the subjects of the dissertations were compared with the attainments, it was concluded that neither sufficient research was conducted on three-dimensional perception and practice in dissertations nor these attainments found sufficient place among Ministry of Education’s attainments.

In this research, an evaluation was made of “study styles” within the framework of the Weinstein/Mayer learning strategies, which could be applied by students within their personal study periods of the Solfeggio by Emanuel Bach. In recent years, learning strategies have started to become widespread as an important area because they are a guide for students to form and evaluate their own learning situations. Therefore, the evaluation of piano training within musical instrument education will provide a valuable result. The aim of this study was for students to be aware of their own learning paths within their personal study processes and to be a guide at the point of forming ‘study styles’. To achieve this, technical analysis was made of the work, and as a result of this analysis, the work was separated into 5 technical motifs. The study styles produced by the researcher directed to main theme motif were grouped within the framework of Weinstein/Mayer learning strategies. As a result of the research, ‘study styles’ were presented as an option which could be selected by students in their personal piano practice periods according to their own learning status.
