Author(s): Zhanat Makanovna Mukataeva,Aigul Salimzhanovna Dinmukhamedova,Roman Idelevich Aizman / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 5/2019

Introduction. The deterioration of schoolchildren’s health which takes place in Kazakhstan has revealed the need for continuous children’s health monitoring within different climatic, geographical and environmental conditions. However, there is a lack of indicators of schoolchildren’s morpho-functional development for the Northern and Southern regions of Kazakhstan, which are relevant for making up-to-date health standard tables. In this regard, the aim of this research is to study children’s morpho-functional development in the Northern and Southern regions of Kazakhstan, for subsequent monitoring their health within the dynamics of learning. Materials and Methods. Participants of the study were 480 Kazakh schoolchildren from the Northern (No. 22 secondary school in Pavlodar) and Southern (No. 7 secondary school in Kyzylorda) regions aged between 12 and 17 years. 240 were female and 240 were male. The authors used standard generally accepted methods for determining the morphological indicators of physical development and functional indicators of the cardiorespiratory system at rest and after standard physical activities. The data were analyzed using the methods of variation and differential statistics. Results. The study has shown that all indicators of students' physical development are within age, gender and regional standards. However, a comparative assessment of morphological and functional indicators showed significant differences between the regions. All parameters of schoolchildren’s physical development, except height, were higher in all age groups in the Northern region. On the other hand, the representatives of the Southern region have shown better results concerning the functional parameters of the cardiovascular system, which indicated better physical endurance. Conclusions. The obtained data indicate the need for further research on children’s regional health characteristics and regional standards of morpho-functional development.

Author(s): Elena A. Kalinina,Larisa M. Kieleväinen / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 2/2022

The relevance of addressing the problems of the history of physical culture and sports is due to the special attention of modern society to the issues of personal development, health protection and promotion, preparing young people for work, and increasing creative activity. However, in modern Russia, the potential of physical culture and sports is not fully implemented for solving socio-economic, educational and health problems. The article deals with the problems of creating a system of management of physical culture and sports in Karelia (1918–1939), tracks the development of mass physical culture movement, and discusses the development of mass defensive sports in the late 1930s. The novelty of the research is determined by introducing unpublished sources extracted from the funds of the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia into scientific circulation. For the first time, the authors analyze archival documents and materials from periodicals to investigate the activities of the Council of Physical Culture under the Central Executive Committee of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1920–1936), the Committee for Physical Culture under the Repubic’s Council of People’s Commissars (1936–1941) and the School of Masters of Sports, as well as the organization and implementation of friendly matches, demonstration performances and allKarelian competitions in various sports. The main research methods are the descriptive and comparative historical methods. It is concluded that the created Councils of Physical Culture were state bodies for leadership and control both in the center and in the periphery. Russian government used sports and mass physical culture as a tool not only for improving the health of the large masses of workers, but also for the widespread militarization of the population. Demonstration performances, friendly matches and sports competitions were important for conducting outreach campaigns and promoting physical culture and sports among the population.

Стереотипный образ современного мужчины в российских глянцевых журналах (на материале журналов «GQ» и «Esquire»)

Author(s): Joanna Wasiluk / Language(s): Russian / Issue: XXV/2020

The subject of this analysis is the image of a modern man, which is created by the discourse of glossy magazines. The conclusions were based on the theory of gender, according to which the communicative behaviour of men is characterized by a specific choice of lexicon units. Consequently, the article focuses on an analysis of lexical units and thematic groups of lexemes to determine which image of a modern man is represented by glossy magazines, because two variants of masculinity appear to have been added to the stereotypical male image: hegemonic and natural (a term introduced by S.A. Il’inyh) masculinity. To find out which of the options prevails, it was decided to analyse the mate-rial of the magazines “GQ” (“Gentlemen’s Quarterly”) and “Esquire”. These magazines are in the top five most popular monthly magazines for men. In this study, it was decided to apply the method of component and contextual analysis. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the image of a man, represented by the discourse of these glossy magazines, is rather stereotyped, but at the same time has distinctive features that reflect other ideas about modern masculinity. Thus, the image of a man is modified.

Субкултурата на бегачите на дълги разстояния

Author(s): Boryana Angelova-Igova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 4/2019

Ultramarathons are very popular among active citizens in Bulgaria, and this popularity cannot be understood as just fashion. I believe that there is a deeper social cause behind this phenomenon, namely the presence of a subculture. The present study aims to describe the significance of this subculture, and how it is functioning in Bulgaria in the XXI century. Of particular interest is the way in which the subculture occurs, the values and worldviews of the participants as well as their class belonging. This subculture is a micromodel in which we can see more clearly social changes and attitudes in the dominant culture. I have paid special attention to gender relations within the group, with the idea of finding out whether it exhibits the same sexist attitudes toward women that are observed in the dominant culture of contemporaryBulgaria.

The harmony of the interaction of dancers in a pair depends on the level of development of the dancers as harmonious personalities. The structure of a dancer's personality acquires harmony not on the basis of the proportional development of all its aspects, but as a result of the maximum development of those abilities that create its dominant direction, it gives meaning to life and activity. The basis of effective education and training in the art of sports dance are developed primary physical and musical rhythmic abilities. On their basis, special abilities can be developed (musicality, plasticity, duetness and creativity), which together create the prerequisites for the formation of harmonious interaction of dancers when creating a dance.

Many sociological disciplines that are up-to-date nowadays have been in a great delay in our sociology and society. On the other hand, some of them were significantly represented (e.g. sociology of youth), so that the word “youthology” was coined. This paper considers causes of delay in constitution and establishment of educational sociology, sociology of everyday life and sociology of sport as academic disciplines. The delays in constitution of the cited disciplines in our milieu have contributed to the fact that there have remained numerous unsolved theoretical and practical issues, “bottlenecks” which the society confronts with. The delay effected that many urgent questions have stayed outside the scope of sociological discussion.

Army, in cooperation with sports federations, was an essential factor in young people’ education. The promotion of a healthy way of life and cherishing Yugoslav spirit in young people were just some of the tasks on which military and civilian authorities were working together. With their activities in that area, the troops of Nis garnison, have, in their domains, contributed to strengthening of sports societies, both through active membership of officers at the top of the federation, and contribution in joint exercises, which enabled the tendency for militarization of physical culture, evident in most European countries. Bearing in mind the variety of army troops situated in the city (the army and two division commands, one infantry, cavalry, engineering and artillery regiments each, as well as three independent artillery divisions, later formed regiment of fighting aviation and batallion of special troops), as well as a great number of officers (several generals in the garrison only), an important advance has been made in affirming sports with the young people and impressive results have been achieved. First of all, organization Soko (Falcon) be mentioned, with the aim of promoting ideology of integral Yugoslavship, through its activities among young people in the area of sport and development of physical culture. This organization prepared young men in military knowledge and habits, taught them obedience and behaviour. Men with sound bodies left this organization, resistant and enduring, and accordingly, capable of great body and mental efforts. In addition to cooperating with Falcon societies, contribution of the army, and particularly its officers, has been evident in improvement of actual sports. Cavalry officers have been cited as pioneers of equestrian sport in the city, as well as shooting which became more and more popular with the civilians. Among the founders of the first football club in Niš were Army men, while due to contribution of the Air Force, the city air club and the sailing club have achieved outstanding results at the level of the country.

Улога и значај школског спорта у процесу васпитања младих

Author(s): Nebojša Ranđelović,Zvezdan Savić / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 4/2016

School sport and physical education are mutually linked through numerous and complex ties and complement one another in the realization of a common goal – the preservation and improvement of health through a harmonious development of the personality with the help of physical activity and exercise. Physical education enables students to acquire a physical education and to form positive attitudes towards physical activity and sport, while taking part in school sport enables them to improve their motor skills through competing at different levels, and can represent a transition towards a more active involvement in sport via sports clubs and by taking part in official sports. However, official sport has in some of its manifestations obtained a completed different form. The principles of humanity have today been marginalized within it. This is reflected in sports education as a part of school sport and leads the sport education process to irreconcilable antagonism (oppositions) which is a consequence of fanatic, political and commercialized sport. School sport or sports in schools are terms which are quite often used synonymously, and are meant to reflect the same concept. At first glance they may seem to be interchangeable, since they both contain the word school. However, they are two different terminological determinants, two closely related yet different concepts. In this paper we will, among other things, indicate the difference between these two concepts in terms of their respective senses, and the possible implications of them being used interchangeably.

Улога локалних заједница у развоју рекреативног спорта

Author(s): Milan Nešić / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 147/2014

This paper highlights the importance and the role of local communities in the provision of conditions for the existence and development of the recreational sports in our country. It is especially evidenced in the documents of EU institutions which define the role of local communities and local governments, as well as their tasks, which include development of all areas of sports and recreational sports. This paper analyzes and highlights the importance of the document ”European Charter of Sport for All” which established a platform for common European policy in this field of sport and clearly defines the roles of local communities in the field of sport for all (recreational sports). With the elaboration of the basic theoretical and conceptual aspects of content-structured recreation and recreational sport, it points out the current state of the sport in our country. It is still extensively characterized by randomness, disorganization and the lack of quality planned documents of organizations and institutions engaged in recreational sports activities, its low position in the community, as well as many other problems. The role of local communities and local authorities in the development and existence of recreational sports, therefore, becomes increasingly important. Legislation clearly determines obligations of local authorities in providing facilities to meet the needs and interests of citizens in this area.
