The idea of this publication came from the perception of corporeality as a possible study of the national identity. This access opens up as an experience of identity. This method of investigation is relevant, as it counterbalts today's popular interest in the chosen, decision-making identity, uncovering the rooting of identity in a carnal being, and its expression as direct experience. There are various relationships between active and passive identities: from mutual isolation to interaction.

There is a lot of talk about the identity of humanitarians in recent times. The intent to return to this topic is simple: the humanities would like to perceive themselves and explain to others what enables us to talk about the Lithuanian nation and what is essential to Lithuanianness. It would be hard to find a topic that is more controversial than this one. Already the intentions themselves are doubly emotional. Even if the humanities would be able to say something important about the nation and its identity, what do they listen to in these days? On the other hand, by radically changing the point of view, one should conclude that on such fundamental topics as the identity of a human being or a nation, it is only humanitarian and insatiable.

A tribute to such a great scholar and extraordinary woman, in the form of this special issue of PAM dedicated to lighting devices, deserves an explanation before coming to the homage itself. Marielle Martiniani-Reber’s name appears as a milestone in any scholarly bibliography devoted to ancient Oriental textiles, whether Byzantine, Coptic, Sassanid or later, at least since 1991 when she published her first volume on the subject. It was the complete corpus of the silk-made masterpieces, Soieries sassanides, coptes et byzantines, Ve–XIe siècles, preserved in the Historical Museum of Textiles in Lyon.

The concept of cybersecurity is about protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and information systems in order to enhance security, resilience, reliability and trust in information and communication technology. Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of the technological, legal, sociological, economic and political fields. Legislative measures alone cannot prevent cybercrime, and they must be accompanied by technical and procedural measures. The fight against cybercrime must be considered as an integral part of the cybersecurity strategy. The purpose of this issue is to make society aware of the challenges of cybersecurity in the digital age, in order to protect the assets and resources of organizations from a human, financial, organizational and technical point of view, so as to enable them to continue their mission.

The article briefly confronts different research perspectives on epistolography. The fundamental Teoria listu (Theory of a Letter) by Stefania Skwarczyńska is indicated as an important reference for many concepts. The category of a beautiful letter proposed by Skwarczyńska is presented by the example of the correspondence between Wisława Szymborska and Kornel Filipowicz — Listy. Najlepiej w życiu ma twój kot (Letters. Your Cat Has the Best in Life). The letters of the future Nobel Prize winner and the master of the storyteller harmoniously combine life and literary elements. They are characterised by irony and humour, which are specific codes of communication. Their form and concepts are evidence of the correspondents’ passionate and strong relationship. The sensitivity to nature shown in them was presented in the context of empathetic imagination. It was linked to both Filipowicz’s biographical experiences and his creative practices, threads that help in the origin of texts such as the short story Krajobraz doskonały (Perfect Landscape) from the volume Śmierć mojego antagonisty (Death of My Antagonist). Nowadays, the need for interdisciplinarity has been pointed out as one of the most important postulates concerning the study of epistolography. The bilateral nature of biography and correspondence continues to be an inspiring issue. The communication paradox of the letter, which is both a dialogue and a monologue, also returns in the investigations of researchers. In the context of the aforementioned studies, the letter continues to fascinate as a phenomenon on the borderline of life and art. For some artists, the letter had a community-creating power. This very meaning was especially emphasised in the perspective of searching for spiritual community, tightening important bonds, lasting and deep friendships based on certain rules.

After 16 years of activity as the coordinating editor of this legal magazine, the time has come for an evaluation, but especially for an impulse for this journal to continue to fight to achieve its purpose for which it was created - to be a permanent and substantial source of information for the Romanian legal field.

The field of Artificial Intelligence and all new technologies has become an intensive research topic, not only in the IT field, but also in the legal field, in terms of their implications on fundamental rights and freedoms and on the government-citizen or the relationship between a corporation that uses AI systems and the consumers. AI has the capacity to link all areas of law, similar to constitutional, union or conventional law. How can state power be discussed in the future without discussing digital sovereignty, how can a lawyer defend the interests of a person injured by an automated vehicle without knowing some technical elements and the special civil liability involved in this case, or how will you be able to take a stand against the introduction of a Robot Judge in court proceedings if you do not know the field of artificial intelligence? Artificial intelligence, if it has not already covered every field we can think of, will certainly do so in the near future, so that the training of both legal professionals and citizens is needed.
