The contribution underlines the potential innovation in post-initial teacher training with respect andragogical aspects that are based on the education of adults and that is focused the attention of many foreign studies on the professional development of teachers. Based on an analysis of selected studies and professional experience of the author`s cooperating international design research study compares several approaches, theoretical concepts and modules that focus on the area of lifelong teacher education and their professional development.
