Изследване на приложението на инструменти за електронно обучение в български и чуждестранни университети

Author(s): Petar Todorov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 5/2021

Over the past two years, the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus has put to the test all spheres of life not only in Bulgaria but also worldwide. It can be claimed that the educational sector has acted adequately and has been able to deal with the challenge. The article presents research on the implementation of various e-learning tools by Bulgarian and foreign universities. The research was conducted at the beginning of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 by surveying students and lecturers. It turns out that despite the plethora of e-learning tools, at many universities, even in technologically advanced countries such as China, in most cases, education is delivered through distance learning and course management systems, for instance Moodle. The research objective is to ascertain the degree of implementation of various e-learning tools at Bulgarian and foreign universities. The research subject is the degree of implementation of e-learning tools, whereas the research object is students and lecturers from Bulgarian and foreign universities. The hypothesis, which is proven, is that the implementation of diverse e-learning tools is insufficient, despite the fact that their importance is acknowledged at all levels of learning and teaching.

Пан в българската литература на Fin de siècle

Author(s): Tsvetana Georgieva / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2022

In the age of the Fin de siècle, the mythological Pan was the subject of numerous interpretations in painting, literature, and the performing arts. The article examines for the first time how the image of Pan fits into the modern Bulgarian literature of the early 20th century - in the works of Emanuil Popdimitrov, Trifon Kunev, Hristo Yassenov and Lyudmil Stoyanov. As an expression of the ideas of the epoch (in the Jugendstil and Secession currents), both in Europe and in Bulgaria, Pan and pantheism apologize for nature, the vegetative principle, youth and childhood, love fire, music and intoxication. The original in the Bulgarian interpretation is the sentimental, sensitive autumn Pan, the parodied Pan / Faun and the old wise man, master of music, and devoid of passion Pan.

The Musical Elements in Passion or Alice's Death as Sources of New Meanings

Author(s): Vesela Ganeva / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2022

The study traces the interrelationships between literature and the musical forms fugue and passion. Significant for the analysis is the information about the personality of Bach and the science of onomastics. I find a connection between the names of the characters of the novel and the great composer. I initiate a new reading of the traditional musical form of passion and the novel by exploring biblical and musical elements, finding that they are deconstructed by the author to create unconventional meanings.

ТРОП ВОЗА КАО СИМБОЛ ТРАУМЕ У КЊИЖЕВНОСТИ ХОЛОКАУСТА

Author(s): Milica M. Karić / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 76/2021

Traumatic experience such as the Holocaust requires traumatic ways of representation. Those who dare to write about it encounter various dilemmas and difficulties in finding the right ways to write about something that cannot be written about. Train trope is a usual symbol of the biggest XX century trauma because rail- way system and different types of cars enabled transportation of millions of people from the whole Europe, whose lives were terminated in the death camps, as well as their wealth, gold and other valuables. Trains found their way in literature with both survivor writers and those who didn’t experience the Holocaust. The symbol of train had been interpreted within psychoanalysis of dreams as passage of time and life before it started to operate as a symbol of the very death in reality. In this paper we tried to investigate how train trope functions in this trauma based literary genre with those writers who were inside and those who felt them as cultural heritage. Those who were inside death trains, such as Elie Wiesel, insisted that the only way of representation has to be in documentary and realistic style. On the other hand, writers who were lucky not to experience the hell on Earth couldn’t write from the ‘inside’ and had to find other ways of representation. Their styles vary from allegory in Kosinsi’s autofictional novel to magic realism in David and Thomas’s novels. Thomas also adds Freudian psychoanalysis while Pinter experiments with stage representation.

Language Transfer and Problems of Teaching Bulgarian for Slav Students

Author(s): Nadezhda Stalyanova,Elena Krejčová / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2022

The text presents the problems of studying Bulgarian as a second language by Slavs with an emphasis on the specifics of foreign language teaching in a Slavic environment. The study presents a theoretical view of the language contacts, transfer and interference in the context of second language acquisition. We pay special attention to the issues of mutual linguistic influences and the genetic closeness between languages through the prism of their acquisition. The influence of the first language on the acquisition and later on the use of the second language can be positive, negative and even zero influence. The positive influence is manifested in the fact that the practical and theoretical knowledge of the first language, language habits and skills support the process of learning a new language and its use as a tool for communication. The positive transfer can be specified according to various criteria: e.g. can be divided into conscious and spontaneous, direct and transformed, etc. Negative influence is manifested at all language levels through the so-called negative transfer or interference – these are the errors that occur due to the influence of the first language on the second and which bear the signs of the first language. We also present opposite views that the linguistic transfer on the one hand can greatly facilitate the acquisition of a second Slavic language, but also the view that closeness between languages can lead to excessive linguistic interference.

Author(s): Hristo Saldzhiev / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2022

The present article deals with the translations of Hebrew and non Hebrew but presented as Hebrew anthroponyms and oikonyms in the work of Konstantin Konstenechki “Treatise of Letters” dating back to the first decade of the 15th century. Up to this moment excluding Jagić the researchers have not pay significant attention to this part of work and according to common opinion Konstantin did not know Hebrew language. However the careful language and textological analysis indicates that a big part of the translations of names and words loaned from the Old and New Testaments are identical or stay close to the etymologies including in the modern dictionaries and other are result of phonetic comparison to Aramaic. There are also translations influenced by Midrashes and the works of Philo of Alexandria.
