Responsabilidad política: analisis actual en el estado y en las comunidades autómas

Author(s): Tamara Alvarez Robles / Language(s): Spanish / Issue: 02/2013

Keywords: political responsibility; diffuse political responsibility; party political responsibility; institutional liability.

Constitutional democracy, only juridically guaranteed, is developing a proccess of changing that is affecting to large parts of Europe motivated by economic crisis that it is strongly plaguing to states like Greece, Italy, Spain and Romania.This trend is accompanied by the appearance of corruption, and by the citizens´ perception of the government´s inability to respond, resulting in political responsibility. Fixing our attention on the Spanish case (which is extrapolated to some extent to other Member States, because of the similarity of experiences and because of the common bonds between their legal sistems) will discuss/examine the genesis, the influence of political responsibility and possible iter connected to criminal liability. In this way we will interact it with the current reality and the concept of political responsibility by stimulating a critical view of the reader.

Contemporary Comic Character – Relationships And Interconnections

Contemporary Comic Character – Relationships And Interconnections

Personajul comic contemporan – relaţionări şi interconectări

Author(s): Ioana-Tatiana Ciocan / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 3/2013

Keywords: Dramatic character; Contemporary comedy; Antagonism; Interdependence; Groups; Relationships

In theatre, the character is a fundamental and complex element. Its research should not be done only in terms of individuality, but also according to the systems in which it is integrated, the groups it belongs to and the relationships it is involved in. This paper identifies such groups in Romanian contemporary comedy. Specific links, that unifies the entire image of a character, are established and each of them has its importance in the text. But all these must be expressed in terms of action and of the dramatic existent scenario. There are essential relationships between dramatic characters. The first relationships to be presented and analyzed in this study are those of the family (parental ties, the couple or the love triangle - in contemporary comedies, these are often considered cliché and have as common traits: misunderstanding, lack of communication, lack of values); then there are the social ones (the rivals, master-servant /slave relationship) or those built around the idea of the sacred – presented as a form of parody. Oppositions or similarities define these groups and create a micro cosmos of some categories of characters, based especially on interconnection. Groups can be conflicting, antagonistic or, on the contrary, convergent, based on interdependence. All these determine the dramatic identity of those that create them and it is represented not only by a particular feature; therefore it leads to highlighting relationships of the entire look. This study demonstrates how such a reading grid leads to the discovery of different meanings of the plays, empowering the analyzed characters.

Italian literature and the “sister arts” at the Faculty of Polish studies: a course in comparative literature

Letteratura italiana e “arti sorelle” alla Facoltà di lingua e letteratura polacca: un percorso di letteratura comparata

Author(s): Olga Płaszczewska / Language(s): Italian / Issue: 1/2013

Keywords: comparative literature, sister arts, transmutation, Italian literature and culture in modern art, reception of Italian literature in Poland and in Europe, teaching Italian literature in its artistic context

The purpose of the article is to outline the guidelines of the interdisciplinary course in comparative literature, given at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The subject of the series of lectures is the relation between Italian literature and different branches of art, in context of their cultural references. The strategies of sensibilization of the audience both to the problem of „sister arts” and to the Italian literature and language themselves are explained. In addition, the significance of an interdisciplinary approach to the problem of reception of Italian literature in European culture is mentioned as one of the aims of the lecture. Moreover, main problems of the course, such as themes of reintepretation of Italian classics in visual arts, music, cinema and theatre, are discussed on the background of „classroom dynamics” which characterize the group of students with different knowledge of Italian language and different cultural competences.

Aesthetic Modality of the Body

Aesthetic Modality of the Body

Aesthetic Modality of the Body

Author(s): Petru-Silviu Văcărescu / Language(s): English / Issue: 3/2014

Keywords: aesthetics; philosophy; phenomenology; bios-scenic; Nietzsche; Craig; Genet; Artaud; Kantor; Barba; Mnouchkine

An interdisciplinary survey of history about the idea of the body helps us to understand the diverse senses taken over, as this “big organism”, on the one side neglected, on the other side due to its hyper-mediation, represented the basis of each human creation. Such a review reproduces the most material experience, its density, its imaginary echo, an experience that situates it at the encounter between the individual cover and the social experience, between the subjective reference and the collective norm. The body remains the zero-point between social area and subject, subject and representation. The material sensibility, the intern representations, the expressive manifestations and the passive awareness do not always belong to the same register of reference and behaviour. The data are dispersed and separated because the distances abound from the intimate feeling to the social manifestation, from sexuality to alimentary taste, physical techniques, aesthetic criteria imposed by the fashion and cosmetics of each epoch, behaviour models or fight against diverse diseases. In this sense, approaching the body from a contemporary point of view takes into account more sciences, thus imposing a change of methods and epistemologies, connected with the study of sensations, techniques or expressions.

Amateur Theatre

Amateur Theatre

Teatrul de amatori

Author(s): Claudiu Dogaru / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 3/2014

Keywords: amateur theatre; forms of manifestation; professional theatre; identity; entertainment

Amateur theatre is distinct from professional theatre. The present study intends to bring a brief historical view on the appearance and development of the amateur theatre, and it describes the specific forms of manifestation and its aesthetics. Even the definition lacks clarity and research should take into account this form of performance, focusing especially on its social implication / importance. The identity of amateur theatre may be defined through the identity of the amateur interpret / player. Thus, the diffuse history of this kind of theatre distinguishes two important stages in its evolution – the development during the Middle Ages and its evolution since the beginning of the 17th century, being a kind of contrasting folio for the contemporary phenomenon that helps to understand its historical dynamics.

Pirandello and Baricco’s Characters in Search of Identity in a World in Crisis

Pirandello and Baricco’s Characters in Search of Identity in a World in Crisis

I personaggi di Pirandello e di Baricco in cerca d’identità in un mondo in crisi

Author(s): Delia-Ioana Morar / Language(s): Italian / Issue: 2/2017

Keywords: Pirandello; Baricco; characters; crisis; identity; Life vs. Form; story telling .

The present paper is a parallelism between Pirandello’s Six characters in search of an Author and Baricco’s The Young Bride. The two works were both created at the beginning of their century and they are a very good illustration and an accurate mirror of their times. Pirandello is obsessed with dichotomy between life and form, between essence and appearance in life and in arts. Baricco is obsessed with storytelling. Their characters are born as an outburst of their obsessions and they try to show us who we really are.

ACTOR IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE ACTORS!

GLUMAC JE MRTAV, ŽIVELI GLUMCI!

Author(s): Marco De Marinis / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 158-159/2012

Keywords: Actor; Actors; The living room; Tragedia Endogonidia; Theatre; I am America;

The Incredible Story of Vera Sosnarova

The Incredible Story of Vera Sosnarova

Neskutečný příběh Věry Sosnarové

Author(s): Adam Hradilek / Language(s): Czech / Issue: 02/2019

Keywords: Věra Sosnarová; Soviet forced labour camps; Czechoslovakia;critical analysis;

With her stories of the atrocities that she experienced in the gulag, Vera Sosnarova has overshadowed the last few witnesses of the Soviet forced labour camps in our country. She has also been honoured by Parliament, which proposed that the President award her the Medal of Heroism in May 2018. One of the reasons for this was that she organises talks where she tells her authentic life stories, as she and her mother and sister were dragged to the Soviet Union by soldiers of the Red Army. For nineteen years she faced abuse and inhuman conditions. She also described her story in her book entitled The Bloody Strawberries … Is she really entitled to the award? The study tries to answer this question.

INOCENTUL ALIENAT ȘI DEPĂȘIREA LIMITELOR (AUTO)IMPUSE

Author(s): Gabriela-Emilia Merce / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 1/2019

Keywords: alienation; existential drama; limits; The Character; natural order;

The starting point of my work is represented by three of Lucian Blaga’s plays: Daria, Ivanca and Înviere. We tried to show that the characters of these plays represent pieces of individuality and also these characters will be free from their existential drama only if they will become a mirror for the each other, only if they will be interconnected and if these characters will be able to transfer a part of their identity to another individual.

Keywords: Adelaide Ristori; acting; dramaturgy; Mary Stuart; Elizabeth I

The essay analyses some scenes from Friedrich Schiller’s Mary Stuart and from Paolo Giacometti’s Queen Elizabeth I of England, performed by Adelaide Ristori. Through a careful comparison between textual sources (memoirs, scripts, testimonies) and iconographic sources(paintings, photographs, engravings), the scene movements and gestures used by the great actress are reconstructed.

Cyber Commodification of Human Being: an International Commercial Law Perspective

Cyber mercantilizarea fiinţei umane din perspectiva dreptului comerţului internaţional

Author(s): Carmen Tamara Ungureanu / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 2-bis/2019

Keywords: commercialization of human being; human reproductive cells international contracts.

Commodification of human body, parts of it or of some „goods” produced by the human body are habitual practices today. The use of human body in commercial purposes is not a new one. Nevertheless, what makes the difference now is the Internet, which facilitates this type of commerce. A global market of human cells and tissues, organs, hair, breast milk, sperm, ovules, surrogate mothers is developing through Internet. In this paper is discussed only a small part. of this type of international commerce, which focuses on the idea of commodification of human body and its products being touched upon only the contracts of goods produced by human body, precisely, reproductive human cells (sperm and ovules) contracts. Thereis first analyzed the international and national regulations, the issue of human reproductive cells alienability and last but not least, thereis shortly presented the Romanian market of reproductive cells and the rules the persons with Romanian citizenship should comply with.

The End of an Era. Institute for Promoting Romanian Culture Abroad during the events from December 1989

Sfârșit de capitol Institutul Român pentru Relațiile Culturale cu Străinătatea în fața schimbării de regim din decembrie 1989

Author(s): Carmen Stratone / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 3-4/2022

Keywords: Institute for Promoting Romanian Culture Abroad; Cultural Propaganda; Cultural Diplomacy; Romanian Communist Party; Romanian Revolution in December 1989;

The main topic of the article is about Institute for Promoting Romanian Culture Abroad (IRRCS - the Romanian abbreviation), institution in charge with promoting cultural diplomacy and it’s predictable end when the political system collapsed during the Romanian Revolution from December 1989. This aftermath could be seen in the lack of power over the cultural diplomacy due to the fact that IRRCS had no control over the cultural and propaganda field and the result of this Romania’s image abroad during the communist regime was provided exclusively by the official propaganda channels strictly controlled by the Romanian Communist Party. These propaganda channels followed the guidelines drawn by the politicians who served very well soviet interests in Romania and, in a small, almost insignificant measure this was accomplished also by traditional means, sustained by the voluntary undertakings of the men of culture, literary men, artists, or independent cultural propagators. Year 1989 was a tremendous turning point also for IRRCS and the ways of dealing with the new political and social context were discussed in a series of meetings at IRRCS headquarter. The documents preserved in IRRCS archives kept records from this meetings from November, December 1989 and January 1990.

Foreign investments in agricultural land in Romania. UNIDROIT/IFAD Guide

Investiţii străine în terenurile agricole din România. Ghidul UNIDROIT/IFAD

Author(s): Carmen Tamara Ungureanu / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 01/2023

Keywords: foreign investments in land; ALIC Guide; land grabbing; investor protection;

Agriculture needs substantial investments to assure its development. When these investments come from „outside” questions are raised as to their legal regime on the territory of the host state. Foreign investors look for legislative guidelines and an effective contractual framework suitable for their activities. The ALIC Guide, developed by UNIDROIT in collaboration with IFAD, offers a body of good practices that can be used by all those involved in land investments. After the brief presentation of the ALIC Guide, the issue of foreign investments in agricultural land in Romania will be analyzed, starting with the applicable national legislation and followed by a radiography of the forms and conditions in which foreign investors „approach” agricultural land in Romania. In the last part, the protection of foreign investors will be briefly discussed, distinguishing between the legal means available to investors with the nationality/citizenship of an EU member state and those outside the European space.
