Short Description

The annual “Putna Papers” magazine publishes the presentations and papers held at the annual symposium organized by the “Faith and Creation. Acad. Zoe Dumitrescu Bușulenga – Nun Benedicta” Foundation. We publish them because we consider it unfortunate to let into oblivion so many beautiful and profound ideas about Nun Benedicta, Romanian culture and spirituality, humankind, what man creates and the One who created man.

The first issue of the magazine was published in 2008, collecting the participants’ presentations at the symposium on “Romanian Spiritual Tradition and Openness to Universality”, held at Putna Monastery between the 18th and 20th of August 2007.

Many well-balanced judgments and distilled feelings can be found in this magazine, which is a veritable cultural and spiritual “construction site”. They reflect Acad. Zoe Dumitrescu-Bușulenga’s thirst for knowledge and wish to understand humankind and find a way to live a fully accomplished human life.
