Summary/Abstract: Father Constantin Coman’s text redefines heritage as a unilateral act of divine love, more accurately expressed by the term “testament” (diathēkē), than by the notion of a bilateral “covenant”. God offers humanity His creation, while humanity itself becomes God’s legacy. The transition to the New Testament marks the interiorization of the divine law, for the true human person is the “inner man” bearing God’s image in its noetic nature, capable of knowledge and spiritual communion.
