Short Description
Language and Society is a biennial scholarly periodical published by the Department of History and Theory of Literature and issued both online and in print. The series includes the texts of papers presented at the International Philological Collegium of the same name. The editorial policy prioritizes the publication of works devoted to philological topics or studies that discuss various sociocultural topics through the methodologies of philological disciplines.
The collegium, and consequently the journal, is open to contributions from literary scholars, linguists, theologians, historians, cultural studies scholars, specialists in media studies, translation studies, education, and cultural exchange, among others, encouraging interdisciplinary and intercultural academic research within the modern humanities.
Language and Society also provides an opportunity for outstanding undergraduate and doctoral students in the humanities to present the results of their collaborative work with lecturers, academic supervisors, or consultants. The journal aims to mediate and strengthen the connection between faculty members, students, and early-career researchers, with an emphasis on teamwork and academic guidance.
