Summary/Abstract: The dynamics of standardization, can be analysed not only through the publication of succeeding grammatical studies and dictionaries, but also inside-group discussions on the solutions that are being introduced. Such polemics, determined by the language ideologies shared by the members of the group, are extremely important for the processes of standardisation of the language. The article presents the processes of Lemko language emancipation and different language ideologies expressed by the Lemko activists who influence the decisions taken in a group in order to codify the language.
