Summary/Abstract: In the New Testament the narratives of miraculous healings (healing of the sick and demon-possessed people, resurrection of the dead) both by Jesus Christ himself and the Apostles have an important place and are primarily used as „signs” to highlight Jesus’ messianic status and the beginning of His Kingdom. Therefore, they are presented as "signs" that demonstrate that His incarnation constitutes His supreme act of ministry towards man, i.e. man’s salvation from the consequences of original sin, and show which should be the christian way of life and attitude towards our fellow men.
