Summary/Abstract: In the Old Testament, the Fall of man brings about the transition from immortality to death. This transition process includes the concept of pain and illness, which is both physical and mental. Studying the text of the Old Testament, we observe that illness is the result of sin and that the biblical author calls the reader to a reconnection with God, which brings relief from pain and the restoration of both health and spirit.
