Summary/Abstract: 2012 marks the centenary of the death of two great personalities of Science: Henri Poincaré and Spiru Haret. It is a good opportunity for an evocation of their work, but of, maybe less known, the links between them too. For example, few know that Henri Poincaré attended a three months stage in Resita mines followed by a memoir. Perhaps less known are the links between Henri Poincaré and several Romanian scientists: Spiru Haret, Nicolae Coculescu, Traian Lalescu, Gheorghe Ţiţeica, Anton Davidoglu, Dragomir Hurmuzescu, Eugen Neculcea, Dimitrie Pompeiu or Constantin I. Nicolau. Because the name of Poincaré belongs to other two great personalities, Raymond and Lucien, we remember, as well, their relationships with Romania.
