Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the problems and solutions related to the preparatory class practice by means of the interviews made with 32 English teachers working at the secondary schools of the fifth graders in which the foreign language intensive education practice project is implemented in the province called Düzce during 2018-2019 education-academic year. It is a qualitative study and the technique of descriptive analysis is used in the study. As a result of the study, out of the general ones the most substantial problems which are faced in the secondary schools in terms of the foreign language education are the lack of materials, the education of teacher, the insufficiency of Dyned and EBA for the preparatory class, the parents who are not told about the content of the preparatory class, the lack of knowledge of Turkish grammar of the students, the inadequate lesson plans.
