Summary/Abstract: Performance assessment in education is the process of evaluating business success according to the predefined criteria and submitting feedback. In this study, two metrics of performance assessment system were studied. These are the assessment of teachers by the students they are responsible for and teacher self assessments. The positive and negative aspects of the two metrics were investigated in line with teacher's views. Students are directly influenced by teacher’s behavior and professional competencies. Therefore, they can convey reliable information about teacher’s professional performance. Self-assessment helps teachers to question their professional competencies, to realize their shortcomings, and to develop themselves continuously. The Working Group consists of 17 teachers working in different branches in the West Black Sea region of A Province, B high school in 2018-2019 academic year. In general, teachers have expressed a negative view that the performance assessment system cannot be objective..
