Summary/Abstract: Applying new European regulations in the sphere of family life could not leave the legal world impassible. Debates are just beginning (but intense) as regards the benefits and disadvantages, strengths and weaknesses of new legislation (Regulation (EU) 2016/1103 and Regulation (EU) 2016/1104). These are enhanced forms of cooperation between states, the „test” of the consolidated form dating back to 2010 (Regulation (EU) no. 1259/2010]. Between the non-application and the partial application, the last option was preferred within the Union. European regulations adopted in 2016 come on the background of regulating relations with an extraterrestrial element on other aspects of family life: divorce, separation from the body, annulment of marriage; matrimonial matters and parental responsibility; maintenance obligations; international successions. Consolidated forms are open to cooperation. It remains the practice to validate the viability of the solutions and to draw the choices of states (not yet) who are not involved.
