Summary/Abstract: This article presents a very recent phenomenon of hybrid war linked to the activities of the Russian Federation in the Crimea and eastern regions of Ukraine. Very often in some expert circles, Russia’s action have begun to be described as a new military strategy by which the Kremlin’s leadership strives to achieve its political objectives. The article seeks to answer the question: Is a hybrid war a new phenomenon and “original invention” of Russian military thinkers?
