Summary/Abstract: The close emotional relationships between two adults is a topic of interest not only to psychologists, but also for representatives of other disciplines such as law, sociology, economics. However, each of the representatives of the above-mentioned sciences interested in another dimension relationship. Lawyers interested in the formal dimension of marriage (relationship), the related responsibilities and privileges, whether it is against the state apparatus, or the partners to each other and their offspring. Sociologists point out that marriage (and family) is one of the main social groups that meet, among others, socializing function. Economists, in turn, are interested in the matter jointly manage the household work of one or both partners, pooling assets. Psychologists, however, have an advantage over the representatives of other disciplines that they can investigate what factors make the relationship is assessed as successful, lasting and partners want to continue it. Quality of the relationship (satisfaction with the relationship) is the most commonly studied by psychologists in the context of marriage and equated with the quality of marriage. However, it is in these pursuits in mind that more and more people (especially young people) decided, for many reasons, to remain in a non-marital relationship, the quality of which can also be assessed. Therefore, in our research we decided to answer the following questions: whether the assessment of the quality of a relationship is different in the case of informal marriages and relationships?, And whether partners use different tactics to influence depending on the type of relationship? and whether there is a correlation between the quality of relationship and the tactics used by the partner's influence? In our study we used the Scale Quality Association by GB Spanier and Social Impact Questionnaire by K. Doroszewicz and K. Sijko. The study involved 60 people, among whom were 24 couples and 6 pairs of men and women in informal relationships. Women Age ranged from 23 to 61 years (M = 40.97, SD = 11.27), age of men was similar – is from 23 to 61 years (M = 42.00, SD = 11.72).
