Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to demonstrate the impact of Special Economic Zones on the labormarket’s situation expressed by the increase in employment. The subject of the studies wasall Special Economic Zones, operating in Poland between 2010 and 2015. The analyzes wereconducted on the basis of Information on the implementation of the Act on Special EconomicZones, which were published in the reports of the Ministry of Economy (2010–2014) and theMinistry of Development (2015).The collected empirical material lead to the statement that, from the viewpoint of the locallabour market in Poland, Special Economic Zones play a key role because business entitiesoperating in these zones have been increasing the number of new workplaces for years.
