Summary/Abstract: The article treats the teaching with the use of training carried out as distance learning. The previous considerations indicate the growing importance of e-learning in teaching, and the study and literature analyses show that the perception of the quality of e-learning is influenced by many factors which decide assessment thereof. In their article, the authors presented the genesis, classification, e-learning platforms and benefits from e-learning. An aim of the presented in the article surveys was to determine what factors affect the quality of e-learning, indicate the barriers of the use of e-learning and preferences concerning communication of the teacher and the student. The surveys, based on which the authors made their conclusions, were carried out in 2012-2013 on the group of 400 individuals.
