Summary/Abstract: An article dissertates with the personality of Juraj Páleš – who was the first headmaster of the ”Teacher’s Propaganda” in Spis Chapter. It also deals with his pedagogical activities and culturally-religious and socially-political conditions in time of his active working. It approaches the personality of Juraj Páleš as the author of Pedagogy textbook and analyses his pedagogical opinions with individual regards on educational values, a teacher's personality and historical consequentions of his pedagogical opinions.
