Summary/Abstract: Experience is irreplaceable for every person. A person learns more and his knowledge is more permanent. Future special educators acquire not only theoretical knowledge during their studies, but also practical skills. They will be able to better apply their own experience in their practice. In this article, we present maps created by students of special education and pedagogy of the mentally disabled. Through their own activities, they find out how to teach students to create a map. When educating students with mental disabilities, a teacher must use various specific procedures in order to teach students as much as possible.
