Summary/Abstract: Attention is paid to the prosaic works by Mikhail Bulgakov, which returned to the European cultural practice. The uniqueness of Bulgakov's authorial creativity, tragic experience of his civic, professional and personal life gave his prosaic works a strong experiential background, wisdom extracted from his personal life in Russia and a moral distance from the Soviet social movements apparently promising a valuable human life which is subsequently destroyed. Bulgakov's depiction/vision of his own revolutionary experience maintains the author's ambition to understand man's conscious acting against a human being with different views in mind and not to succumb to negative emotions when coping with this experience.
