Summary/Abstract: The present paper relies on the 2006 novel of Cezar Paul-Bădescu entitled Luminiţa, mon amour. In our view, the novel is a half humorous, half ironic deconstruction of popular (post) capitalist urban myths, as well as of personal sentimental, biography. The analysis of the novel in such a key brings also into discussion concepts concerning verisimilitude, authenticity, autobiographical fiction.
