Summary/Abstract: The present paper attempts to enlarge upon the atmosphere and themes of one of the most representative African writers, Chinua Achebe. The starting point is represented by the train of thought provided by the studies on marginality as a concept. Irrespective of race, gender, social status, the struggle for identity in post-colonialist literature remains a common place.
