Summary/Abstract: The author of the article describes the basic correspondence and differences between the present Slovak and Bulgarian phraseology theories. Apart from characteristics of both phraseology conceptions, the author concentrates on genesis of registration of the phraseology material in the oldest Slovak and Bulgarian paremiology collections and dictionaries.
