Consideraţii privind ceramica de masă de la (L)Ibida. Studiu de caz – sectorul Extramuros vest III
Consideration about roman tableware from (L)Ibida. Case study – Extramuros West III Research Area

Summary/Abstract: The tableware sample presented in this article was found in research area Extramuros West III of the archaeological site at (L)Ibida, as a result of excavations in 2006 and 2007. After processing the pottery, 96 vessels resulted, all dating to the late Roman period, mostly from the second half of the 5th century and the first half of the 6th century. 93% of these vessels belong to the Late Roman C Ware group, mainly ascribed to Hayes 3 form. The African Red Slip Ware stands for 5%, with forms Hayes 87, Hayes 91 and Hayes 104. The Pontic Red Slip Ware represents 4%, on a par with the pottery produced by the local population. The situation found at (L)Ibida is similar with the published results from other late Roman settlements from Scythia, such as Halmyris or Capidava. Rezumat: Eşantionul de vassa escaria prezentat în acest articol a fost descoperit în sectorul Extramuros Vest III al şantierului arheologic (L)Ibida, după săpăturile efectuate în anii 2006 şi 2007. După prelucrarea materialului ceramic s-a conturat un eşantion formant din 96 de vase, toate datând din perioada romană târzie, marea lor majoritate încadrându-se între a doua jumătate a sec. V şi prima jumătate a sec. VI. 93% dintre vase aparţin grupei Late Roman C Ware, majoritatea înscriidu-se în caracteristicile formei Hayes 3. Grupa African Red Slip Ware deţine o pondere de 5%, cu formele Hayes 87, Hayes 91 şi Hayes 104. Grupa Pontic Red Slip Ware reprezintă 4% din totalul ceramicii de masă, fiind la egalitate cu ceramica produsă de populaţia locală. Situaţia înregistrată la (L)Ibida este similară cu rezultatele publicate din alte aşezări romane târzii din Scythia, cum ar fi Halmyris sau Capidava.
