Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the evolution of employment in Romania during the period 2021-2025, with a focus on gender differences and the integration of young people into the labor market. The research is based on statistical data provided by Eurostat, processed through graphical representations. To complement the analysis, a bibliometric analysis was performed using the Web of Science database and the VOSviewer software. The results highlight an increase in the employment rate by 2024, followed by a slight decrease in 2025, as well as an increase in the unemployment rate in the last year analyzed. Gender and employment gaps remained high, and indicators on young people show a decrease in the employment rate and an increase in unemployment. The bibliometric analysis also confirms the increased interest of the literature in these topics. Overall, the findings provide an overview of the recent evolution of the labor market in Romania.
