Summary/Abstract: The active use of legends in the educational process is one of the main elements through which students have the opportunity to associate acquired knowledge and skills in various fields, including literature and history. At the level of primary education, legends develop countless skills, including communication, active involvement of students in school activities, critical thinking and problem solving. They represent one of the most effective educational approaches that promote respect for cultural diversity in the fastest way possible and encourage student learning, being integrated into the curricula within the educational instructional process in primary education. The frequent approach to legends in primary education leads to the development of linguistic skills and imagination. Thus, they transmit not only specific information about a particular community or people, but also identity, values and traditions.
