Summary/Abstract: Issued by Metropolitan Ioan of Banat, the 2026 Easter Pastoral Letter deeply reflects on Jesus Christ’s glorious Resurrection and His descent into the depths of death to redeem humanity. The message highlights the Cross as a new altar where Christ offers Himself as the Eucharistic Bread of Life. Emphasizing that the Resurrection brings eternal life, the hierarch urges believers to awaken from the sleep of sin and abandon hatred. The letter concludes with a strong pastoral call to cultivate genuine fraternal love, support the marginalized, and embody the profound joy and divine light of the Resurrection in daily life.
